Le Roch Hotel & Spa
Secret Sojourn
What it is
A cinematic 37-room boutique hotel with a leafy courtyard, spa and swimming pool (yes, swimming pool).
What it isn't
Hands off. Guest pampering here includes 24/7 room service, rides in a private chauffeured car, a personal shopper, barber, valet...the list goes on.
What we think
Sarah Lavoine is somewhat of a design world legend in Paris. (Don’t believe us? Take a look at her Instagram account, with 189,000 followers and counting). And she’s infused the rooms and suites sequestered in Le Roch with her trademark luxe Francophile style: expect finishes like Carrara marble, walnut floors, handmade Moroccan zelliges tiles and plush carpets underfoot from Chevalier Edition. Tech geeks will freak over the in-room tablet that allows you to do everything from summon room service to pester the concierge for a dinner reservation. The design wizardry continues in the pool, which is made from black lava rock; don’t miss sitting for a spell in the spa’s hammam.
You're here because
This is Paris, and you’d rather not go than stay in some faceless business hotel. Le Roch is the opposite—the type of respite you can picture Hemingway himself in.
The Moment
Sitting by the heat of the fireplace in the bar, your eyes are languidly blinking...slower and slower. You may find yourself cuddled up in your bed sooner than you think. But then the bartender brings over your Scottish Mounties cocktail—made with Bruichladdich Classic Laddie Whiskey—and you feel a vigorous pep in your step. The night is young.
