Miami Beach, Florida
Loews Miami Beach
Modern Marvel
What it is
A 790-room star of South Beach, with adults-only pool cabanas, four buzzing eateries and an Exhale spa.
What it isn't
Just sitting around. The fitness center hosts barre and yoga classes that can instantly boost beach confidence.
What we think
Newly revamped to the tune of $50 million, Loews has reached new (ahem) highs. Guest rooms are serene and spacious, with ultra-luxe touches, including Frette duvets, Chadsworth & Haig Doeskin robes, Smart TVs, and Julien Farel hair products (including a salon-grade hair dryer; this IS South Beach, where people actually care). We have a special place in our globetrotting hearts for their Suites with Kitchenettes, all of which have wet bars, fridges and microwaves—so you can whip up whatever you’re craving and take it out to enjoy on your very own terrace.
You're here because
Kids are as pampered as card-carrying guests, if not more so; note the SOBE kids club where they can join in pizza making classes or scavenger hunts. They can even opt to have manis, pedis, and haircuts in the spa, for a song.
The Moment
When in Miami, you have to eat fresh-caught seafood whenever possible. So having Lure Dining Room right downstairs is like manna from the gods. You order the grilled lobster with drawn butter and crispy fingerling potatoes, plus lobster mac and four cheese. If this isn’t living, you don’t know what is.
