Eva Palace Grecotel Luxury Resort
What it is
A 225 room glamazon replete with a rooftop spa, lush gardens and a bellini bar.
What it isn't
Buttoned-up. Expect a swim-up bar in the seawater pool.
What we think
The Kommeno Peninsula is arguably the pride of Corfu—with three showstopping resorts on one leafy seaside spit of land. Among them, Eva Palace is a jewel in the crown, set on its own sheltered bay. Rooms are awash in neutrals and the sort of stately place you’d imagine Prince William whisking Kate Middleton off to—picture canopy beds, a mosaic-lined bathroom and a gratis bottle of wine awaiting you at check-in. Guests that want to spread out a bit should book a villa; request a Honeymoon one for one with a private pool set on a secluded cove, ideal for sparking flirty fun in even the longest married old couples. Don’t miss taking your date to the newly opened Steak & Sushi restaurant, set poolside, and perhaps the most envelope-pushing of all the restaurants on-site.
You're here because
The spa took its cues from none other than Aphrodite herself. Couples treatments include the Love Potion—you’ll both be scrubbed down with orange sugar and bathed in rosewater.
After a few days of R&R on the sand, you’re growing a bit listless. So you head to the hotel’s fleet of watercraft and pick out what you’ve decided to call the Thrill Maker: a pedal boat. You haven’t been on one since you were in high school; now, making a beeline to a private cove, with the sun setting over the Ionian sea, you’ve never felt younger.

A mere 25 minute drive from Corfu International Airport. You can hail a taxi to Corfu town, just 20 minutes away, for about 25 Euro; well worth it for an afternoon of popping in and out of the elegant shops and museums like the Achilleion, set in a palace built for Austrian Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria in 1890.
