Katikies Garden
Seafront Luxury
What it is
A cliff top 40-suite gem with a holistic spa, Michelin-starred chef helming the restaurants, and showstopping infinity pool overlooking Aegean.
What it isn't
Forgettable. Their lifestyle concierge will curate experiences just for you, whether you want to hop aboard a yacht to Mykonos or tour archeological sites.
What we think
When every room is a suite, you can expect to be wowed. But you’d never expect this: enormous 484-square-foot floor plan with a separate sitting area, many with verandas and al fresco jetted tubs just for you. Each room has a mini wine cellar, robes and slippers for living your best Grecian life, Nespresso coffee machine, AC, and iPod speaker—although we wouldn’t be surprised if you just want to fling open your balcony doors and listen to the birds chirp. We love that guest rooms are as chic as you’d find in an urban retreat, with sculptural light fixtures and saturated color palettes; some even have faux flowers that appear to grow magically from the ceiling. Even if the honeymoon’s over, we recommend the Honeymoon Jetted Tub Suite Sea View; it has a turquoise tub on the private terrace with a panorama that spans from the Aegiean to the nearby blue domed churches.
You're here because
You’re a card-carrying history buff, and the property took over an 18th century Catholic monastery.
The Moment
You always like to judge Michelin stars for yourself. But one bite of Chef Ettore Bortrini’s red prawns with elderflower and milk-fed lamb with local artichoke, chickpeas and sage, and it’s clear: this isn’t just a star, it’s a meteor.

Location
A perch overlooking the water on the caldera cliffs in ancient Fira, Santorini’s capital. The Archeological Museum of Thera is just a few blocks away, and home to sculpture from ancient Rome and clay figures of the Hellenistic period.
