Covid-19 - What you should know
Skylark’s advisor team is here to support you. Travel is tricky right now and planning isn’t always straightforward, but our team of advisors is here to assist in every way we can.
What it is
A Sardinian seaside nest for Europe’s big spenders.
What it isn't
For those not recklessly decadent.
What we think
Cala Di Volpe is the Costa Smeralda go-to for jetsetters and yachties, as made immediately clear by the long jetty that curves from the lobby into the coastal shallows. At any time during the season, a fleet of mega-yachts, speedboats, catamarans and sailboats seem to hover over the crystal-clear Tyrrhenian waters—all under the watchful eye of the alfresco diners at Atrium Bar as they enjoy their lobster and crisp Sauvignon Blanc. Designed to resemble a fishing village, the resort wears a rustic Sardinian decor and is dotted with examples of local craftsmanship—a wooden chair here, colored fabrics there, hand-painted tiles all around. Each room has a private balcony and patio, with panoramas of the sea and its floating parade of boats. Come evening, the low sun sets aglow the hotel’s pale-pink exterior, beckoning guests to the three waterside bars. Daytime activities include watersports, golf at Pevero Club, tanning at the private beach club and, of course, people-watching.
You're here because
It’s not the Costa Smeralda if you’re not sitting next to a princess, a Middle Eastern playboy or a Hollywood mogul.
Sinking into the saltwater pool as the hotel shimmers in the evening light, the waiter drops off a martini—shaken, not stirred. This is the same spot where Roger Moore and Barbara Bach had drinks in The Spy Who Loved Me.
