Costa Smeralda, Sardinia
Hotel Romazzino
An isolated, seaside paradise
What it is
A sanctuary for families on the Costa Smeralda.
What it isn't
Budget-friendly: Though more gently priced than its sister property, Cala Di Volpe, Romazzino is among the Med’s spendiest options.
What we think
The Romazzino cunningly works with its environment to give its guests the most secluded seaside experience possible. All of the hotel’s 94 rooms look out to the Costa Smeralda and are fitted with private balconies. The locally hand-crafted ceramics, fabrics, and wood furnishings go perfectly with the teal of the Mediterranean sky and the emerald of the coast below. For even more privacy, Romazzino has six villas with heated pools, verandas and gorgeous Sardinian fabrics. During the day, sunbathe at the private white-sand beach, play a round at the world-famous Pevero Golf Club or try deep-sea fishing, horseback riding and watersports. And don’t worry about the kids: Romazzino has a professional babysitting service, the Toy Club for 3-to-12’ers, and golf, fishing and tennis lessons to keep the little ones busy.
You're here because
Like every other mortal, you cannot resist the azure shallows of the Tyrrhenian Sea, but you’re looking for a warm, family-friendly atmosphere to enjoy them in.
The Moment
The kids are tucked in after an afternoon of tennis in the Sardinian heat. You can still feel the sun’s kiss on your skin as a gentle evening breeze skates up the shoreline. You look forward to an aperitivo and a candle-lit seafood dinner with your beloved in a setting that has transfixed visitors for millennia.
