Overlooking a private garden square, the hotel's Georgian townhouses were originally home to wealthy merchants and were later turned into the club headquarters for the Royal Scottish Automobile Club. Today, Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel has just completed a multimillion-pound refurbishment with a refresh of all of the existing guest rooms and suites with an elegant, new look, the creation of a new, two-bedroom penthouse suite, an additional 12 new bedrooms, and an upgrade to the spa reception area and lounge. Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel is one of Glasgow's best established and luxurious hotels, and the only one with an AA five star accreditation. Widely acclaimed for its exceptional service, and winner of Hotel Manager of the Year at the 2017 Scottish Hotel Awards, the hotel also includes a ground floor restaurant Bo and Birdy, which celebrates the best is Scottish food and first floor salon bar which is the place to relax with a cocktail or two after a long day.
