Whistler, British Columbia
Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa
Mountain Magic
What it is
A ski-in, ski-out mainstay with all the trimmings—including a ski valet, outdoor pool and whirlpool, authentic Javanese spa, cozy bar and grill, and two iconic golf courses.
What it isn't
Just for winter. Whistler wows in all seasons, and the resort offers boundless activities: including tennis, a gym and mountain biking (yes, there’s a bike valet, too).
What we think
Whistler may have taken its name from the throaty, flute-like sounds made by the resident marmots, but we think the happy moniker suits the destination perfectly. Where else can you ride a sea to sky gondola and steep in a Scandinavian-inspired hot spring? Guests of Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa love retiring to this mega-resort from their day’s exploits for good reason. Guest rooms are traditionally appointed with every comfort one could need in an alpine setting, including tufted headboards, 250 thread count sheets, mini fridges and Cuisinart coffee makers, robes and slippers, and even Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries. If you’re looking for more breathing room than the starting room category (from 325 square feet for a Hilton Room-1 King Bed), we love the Signature Spa Room-1 King Bed With Whirlpool. Not only does it come with a jetted tub that comfortably steeps two, but you’ll also find doors to a private balcony and wood-burning fireplace within the sprawling 600 square foot interior. Translation? Your coziest mountain getaway yet.
You're here because
None other than Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus designed the resort’s two par 71 golf courses, a mere five minutes from the hotel.
The Moment
Your new favorite watering hole after a day on the slopes is easily the resort’s own bar, the poolside Cinnamon Bear Bar & Grille…and that’s not even the maple cinnamon mai tai talking.
