Aspen, Colorado
The Gant
Alpine Living
What it is
On five acres footing the ski slopes, with condo rooms, two outdoor heated pools and three bubbling hot tubs, and five tennis courts (three of them keeping it classy in clay). Did we mention the ski butlers?
What it isn't
Lacking anything. Hungry? Pepperjack’s Cafe satisfies any craving. Want to hit the town? Their concierge will happily arrange a babysitter. They’ve got a gratis shuttle to whirl you around town and yes, of course, Tesla charging stations await.
What we think
We can almost promise that there will be some small part of you that never wants to leave this place, because they’ve made it as homey as home. To start, every single room here is a condo, and even the “starter” category comes complete with valet parking, daily housekeeping, and everything you could covet from an Aspen hideaway, including a real wood burning fireplace, full kitchen and dining area, and private balcony that peeps out on the surrounding Rockies. (We especially love the exposed beam ceilings, which feel a bit like they were transported here from the French Alps.) Book the Deluxe or Premier versions for even roomier digs and higher-end appliances; you can opt to have up to four bedrooms and three baths, to roam free like a local orange-crowned warbler. While you’re here, be sure to take advantage of some of their little-known perks, like free We-Cycle bike rides and Ski Butlers that will ensure your rental gear fits perfectly, right in your guest room...and pick it up when you’re done with your stay.
You're here because
You want to feel like you live in Aspen full-time, and their staffers will stock your in-room kitchen with your grocery and even bar order before you arrive.
The Moment
You seriously shredded the gnar on the slopes today—and you deserve some serious carbo-loading for tomorrow’s runs. So you tuck into Propaganda Pie, within Pepperjack’s, for what may be the best pizza you’ve had in years: the I’m Not a Crook, with pepperoni, ricotta, cherry peppers, garlic confit, arugula and shaved parmesan. Rocky Mountain High, indeed.
