Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort
What it is
A sustainable 293-room luxury resort with an indulgent spa and hammam, 8 exquisite restaurants, three pools and a private beach.
What it isn't
Just for grown-ups. Their family focus means little ones are honored guests, too; the hotel has well-staffed Kids and Teens Club where activities might include sandcastle building, painting and dance competitions.
What we think
Earthy isn’t a word often used to describe the U.A.E., where so much seems sleek and high-tech. But Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort has embraced the luxury of our planet. The results are as restful as a resort can be. Guest rooms are adorned in a color palette of sandy neutrals and cloud whites, with textural woven elements and stone finishes. (And we love that even the “starter” category, Resort Deluxe Room, has a private balcony and deep soaking tub in the bathroom). If you’re traveling with friends or en famille, try the Two Bedroom Ocean Family Room; each has showstopping panoramas of the turquoise sea from floor-to-ceiling windows and your private balcony. Ask staffers about arranging some only-in-Abu Dhabi experiences during your stay, including eco-tours through mangroves to see some of the globe’s largest populations of humpback dolphins.
You're here because
You’re a bit of a spa-holic; this one offers organic and high-tech treatments that range from black diamond powder facials to cryo energy cellulite treatments.
Among all the afternoon teas you’ve ever treated yourself to, this one at Majlis Saadiyat might be the most unforgettable—because it’s as unexpected as they come. From the lamb sambusek with tahini to the luqaimat fried dumplings with date syrup and saffron, it’s no wonder tea rhymes with U.A.E.
