Abu Dahabi, United Arab Emirates
Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi
Bounty at the Beach
What it is
A 306-room resort fronting the Arabian Sea, with pristine gardens and one of the largest pools in Abu Dhabi.
What it isn't
Solely vacationland. The hotel caters to business travelers too, with a 24/7 business center ready for everything from printing and binding your report to boarding pass printing.
What we think
Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi doesn’t do small. The “starter” room here is a whopping 538 square feet and would pamper a sheikh, thanks to the walk-in Hans Grohe rain shower and freestanding Toto soaking tub. Of course, you’re not here to binge your latest Netflix obsession, not when the resort has curated all manner of Abu Dhabi delights: you can cruise the mangroves with Captain Tony, take a dolphin tour along the coast, and look for hawksbill turtles along the coastline of Saadiyat Beach. If you’d rather opt for R&R, the resort’s Atarmia Spa is ready to soothe with expert masseurs and poolside daybeds in the shade of towering palm trees.
You're here because
Occasionally, you’re so zonked from the day’s exploits that you want to eat-in. The resort has six dining options (including room service), one of which is renowned for its charcoal grill-cooked steaks and just-caught fish.
The Moment
You’re a bit of an oenophile, so asked to be sat next to the wall of bottles in The Park Bar & Grill, the resort’s unofficial ode to wine. Tonight, you’re sipping a 2010 cabernet merlot from South Africa’s Rupert & Rothschild, and excitedly awaiting your dessert: warm chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream. Simple, and perfect.
