Boston, Massachusetts
The Ritz-Carlton, Boston
Contemporary Elegance
What it is
A modern, sumptuous stay with recently revamped guest rooms; a bistro and bar that feel transported from Europe; access to Equinox’s pool and gym; and peerless service.
What it isn't
Stuffy. Technology is embraced full throttle here, from the smart TVs to the soundproof windows.
What we think
Guest rooms here are big in more ways than one. Yes, they’re literally expansive—beginning at a whopping 425 square feet—but they’re also Luxe with a capital L, including Frette linens, featherbeds, marble-lined bathrooms, and deep soaking tubs. Our favorite room options are the Club Access ones; you’ll have the opportunity to treat yourself to the 12th floor lounge for gratis breakfasts, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, desserts, and après-dinner snacks (it’s open until 10 p.m. daily). The Park View Suite is worth the splurge: it’s fitted with a separate living and dining space overlooking the circa 1634 Boston Common and a sanity-saving extra powder room within the 1100 square foot interior.
You're here because
You long to feel doted upon on vacation, and Ritz-Carlton is renowned for giving each and every guest the V.I.P. experience, including evening turndown and in-the-know concierges.
The Moment
Perched by the dancing fire at Avery Bar, you order another barrel aged old fashioned…and a pecan s’mores cookie sundae. Why not? This is the loveliest hotel to celebrate—even if you’re just toasting to a day well spent.
